电影《锦绣前程》，由导演陈嘉上执导，是一部典型都市小男人爱情和友情喜剧。翡翠高清台曾经播放过HDTV版本，蓝光画质，但加了过场节目预告，剪掉这部分画面再校对字幕太麻烦，所以没采用，而是使用了香港三区发行的 DVD-9 原版制作。

剧情简介：
林超荣（张国荣）与失败辉（梁家辉）是两个典型中下层小人物。荣向有情场杀手之称号，可惜他的众多女朋友均是无知少女，一过廿三便会离他而去，回归现实。至于辉则是人如其名，对样样事情都不敢全力以赴，恐怕失败。
任职保险经纪的荣，因不遵守游戏规则而被辞退，再加上爱情失意遂厚颜无耻地投靠初恋女友丽（陈妙瑛），并向老支辉借贷到澳门一博，最后败北而回。此际，他与辉遇上了传闻当黑市情人的Rosemund（关之琳），荣盼望藉着她的关系开创事业，更怂勇辉向她展开追求，怎料辉原来一直暗恋在老人院工作的慧（梁思敏），但始终未能表达心意。荣唯有亲自出马，并赢得Rosemund的芳心，可是他竟发觉自己爱上了她。而一直对老人没存好感的辉，却为了慧的关系，愿意接管老人院。荣与辉从不同处境中，终学晓了事业与爱情的真谛……
