On the April Fools’ Day in 2003, God played a big joke on those who love Leslie.  At about 6:41 p.m., Leslie Cheung, the super star, lost confidence to live and committed suicide.  For an instant, the sad news spread all over the East-Asia, even the globe.  Fro then on, we lost our dearest Leslie forever.
On April 7th, zillions of people, including Leslie’s relatives, friends and those that love him, attended his funeral.  As the funeral hall was too small to hold so many people, a huge number of his fans gathered in front of the hall, lining up through several streets, to see Leslie off for the last time.  And the whole Hong Kong was soaked in deep sadness.  Most people burst into tears and some were to sorrowful to stand on.  Among the fans, a few came from foreign countries.  A Japanese female fan said, ‘I don’t know Cantonese.  I can’t sing Leslie’s songs, but I just know his music and I love him so much, but now…(sobbing).  Yes, Leslie’s fans may not all master music, but they all understand his music by their hearts.
Then how come that so many people love Leslie?  Only because of his success in singing or filming?  The answer is negative, for Leslie’s character is even more charming than the success he achieved.  He is an open and aboveboard man.  He went his own way with the pressure of conservation.  His private life is always the point masses focus on, even after his death.  Some people accused him for the sake of so-called ethics, and others paid attention to his news simply for fun.  Well, I just don’t understand why people couldn’t look upon him with usual eyes.  Yeah, he is indeed a homosexual, but it’s his personal business.  And I think, everyone has his or her way to live, which nobody has the right to interfere.  In addition, what Leslie indeed didn’t bother anyone and it’s none of others’ business.
As an excellent artist, Leslie had already had great pressure on work.  However, those ethics-protectors ignored that and never stopped fighting for the great visual matter, which put a great deal of additional pressure on Leslie.  Eventually, Leslie can’t bear the great stress and lost the hope for life, and those ethics-protectors won the fight, at the cost of a man’s life.  They’re real ethics-protectors.
Anyway, things had happened and we have no means to remedy it.  But, I hope people can learn a lesson from it that we all should show our tolerance to others and leave more private space to others since everyone has the right to choose his or her own living way.  What’s more, I hope that people please don’t discuss on Leslie any more and save the only little humanity to rest him in peace.  Anyhow, Leslie is a real character and he will live in our minds for good and all!

excellent!u can describe leslie in english so good! leslie is a very perfect man.every fans of his loved him so much! i think he was happy with our support and gave his love in return!
