Small mountains of feed at the edge of town, where most of the animals stay and many people set up camp.
Camel and cow dung are a main source of fuel for cooking fires. Dung is gathered, patted out into round patties, and stuck on walls to dry. When dry, it falls off the wall and is gathered and used for fuel, or in this case, sold.
It';s clean! I wiped it on my shirt!
In many cases one can identify a person';s home village or other affiliation based on the colors and/or patterns of the turban or sari worn.
